Job Overview

The key to success in this role is managing the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, which are essential for informed decision-making within an organization. This includes overseeing the month-end and year-end close processes to ensure all reconciliations are completed, maintaining and improving internal financial controls and processes, and providing financial insights and support to senior leadership.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports that align with statutory requirements.
  • Oversee the closing process for months and years, ensuring seamless completion of reconciliations.
  • Maintain and enhance existing financial control systems to foster a culture of compliance.
  • Deliver financial intelligence and operational support to senior leaders, empowering them to make strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate with external auditors to achieve successful audit outcomes.
  • Supervise and mentor team members within the Accounting & Finance department, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant accounting standards and regulations.
Requirements:
  • A degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution.
  • Professional certification such as CPA or CA, demonstrating expertise in accounting principles.
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and reporting requirements.
  • Proven experience in leading and mentoring a team in an accounting function, fostering growth and development.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, enabling effective decision-making.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, enhancing productivity and efficiency.
