Job Title: Communications Specialist

Overview:

This is a key role that involves developing and delivering timely, high-quality written correspondence, briefings, and other written material. The position requires providing accurate advice and support to the Minister's Office and key internal and external stakeholders.

  • The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain effective relationships with staff at all levels of the organization.

  • They must be able to collect, collate, and analyze information from various sources, including communities and other agencies, to provide accurate and complete responses to a range of matters.

  • A strong focus on quality and attention to detail is essential in this role, as well as the ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

  • The successful candidate will have the ability to exercise judgment, discretion, and confidentiality when liaising with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and provide timely, high-quality Ministerial and Government correspondence and advice.

  • Contribute to the delivery of projects, including written material preparation, communication, and review.

  • Provide accurate advice and support to management, the executive team, and key stakeholders.

  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships and communications across the organization.

  • Collect, collate, and analyze information on a range of matters.

  • Contribute to reporting, including on the status of key projects, issues, and processes across the business.

  • Participate in the analysis of situations and/or issues, considering options and contributing to approaches and responses.

  • Monitor, implement, and evaluate administrative practices, systems, and procedures within the team.

Requirements:
  • Maintaining knowledge and understanding of initiatives and issues to enable response to a range of matters.

  • Collecting and collating information from various sources to support the gathering of accurate and complete information.

  • Completing work to agreed timeframes and standards in an environment characterized by competing priorities and tight deadlines.

  • Exercising judgment, discretion, and confidentiality in liaising with stakeholders.

What's On Offer:

This contract will last until 12th Sep 2025. You will be based in Parramatta NSW.
