Join DPHI in a newly created leadership role where you will play a central part in transforming how our people connect, collaborate, and innovate. As Manager, Unified Communications, you will lead the strategy, delivery, and evolution of workplace communication technologies that enable flexible, high-performing, and future-ready digital environments.

In this role, you will lead and mentor a team of technical specialists to manage and enhance unified communication services focused on Microsoft 365 including Microsoft Teams (chat, voice, meetings), OneDrive, Microsoft Exchange, video conferencing and other platforms across a large and diverse organisation. You will drive strategic planning and implementation in alignment with NSW Government ICT frameworks and digital transformation priorities, while also overseeing vendor and supplier relationships to ensure service excellence, value for money, and contractual compliance. A key part of your role will involve safeguarding service continuity through robust disaster recovery and business continuity planning. Most importantly, you will champion digital collaboration by delivering innovative technology solutions that boost productivity and enable a connected, future-ready workforce.

What you will bring to the role

  • Strong technical leadership across IT infrastructure and unified communications, including cloud-based platforms and service integration.
  • Proven ability to balance long-term strategic planning with day-to-day operational responsiveness.
  • Experience navigating public sector environments and engaging stakeholders across complex organisational landscapes.
  • A record of delivering innovation, solving complex challenges, and improving service outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills – capable of translating technical concepts for a wide range of audiences.
  • Expertise in managing supplier performance, contracts, and commercial risk.
  • Extensive experience working in highly technical ICT environments with a focus on Microsoft 365 cloud platforms delivering technology solutions and services for customers in unified communications technologies.
  • Experience leading a team to develop and deliver support services and solutions for customers.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills proven in project delivery in a complex enterprise environment.
