Head to Health Launceston Overview:

Head to Health Launceston is an innovative mental health service funded by Primary Health Tasmania, providing a one-stop hub and mental health support for people aged 18 years and older.

The Role:

  • Deliver short- to medium-term evidence-based interventions and conduct group work, comprehensive assessments, and care plans for individuals aged 18 years and over
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure effective service delivery, planning, and development
  • Participate in clinical review and quality-assurance processes
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of community partnerships with external stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Mental health-related degree (e.g. psychology, social work, counselling) and related registration along with a minimum of 2 years' experience in the relevant field
  • Knowledge and experience in the provision of clinical mental health assessment and evidence-based interventions
  • Proven judgment and evaluation skills demonstrating a working understanding of assessment and care planning
  • Sound understanding of the public, non-government, and private mental health systems and programs in a community setting
  • Demonstrated computer skills and ability to maintain clinical records
  • Proven understanding of duty of care, rights to privacy and confidentiality
  • Positive, solution-focused attitude with commitment to participating in service improvement activities and personal clinical growth
  • Well-developed written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Eligibility to apply for WWVP clearance and NDIS worker screening clearance
