Electrical Engineering Lead Position

The Electrical Engineering Lead will be responsible for overseeing the engineering activities and technical design aspects of major projects, including HV/EHV Substations, Transmission Lines, and Renewable Energy.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior engineers to lead engineering activities and technical design aspects of projects
  • Develop concept and detailed designs, conduct technical investigations, assess tenders & create contract technical specifications
  • Analyse electrical system requirements, capacity, cost, and project needs
  • Foster a culture of teamwork within the engineering team and across the wider organisation

Necessary Skills & Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience as an Electrical Engineer on major energy projects
  • Proven expertise in detailed design
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g., BSc Engineering)
  • CPEng or eligibility to obtain Membership (or eligibility) with a relevant engineering institution (e.g., Engineers Australia)
