Coach Community Engagement

The Coach Community Engagement position plays a pivotal role in designing and delivering culturally sensitive sport and recreation programs that promote physical well-being, teamwork, and leadership among diverse groups of people.

This role involves facilitating engaging, structured, and fun activities that address the unique cultural needs of participants while empowering them with life skills, confidence, and social connections.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver culturally responsive sport and recreation programs
  • Facilitate team building, leadership, and physical activity initiatives
  • Address the distinct cultural requirements of participants
  • Contribute to participant empowerment, development, and integration
  • Build and maintain stakeholder and participant relationships

Essential Criteria:

  • Certificate IV in Sport and Recreation or equivalent qualification
  • Desirable: Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Community Development, or related field
  • Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card) in Queensland
  • First Aid and CPR Certification
  • Strong understanding of cultural diversity and inclusion principles
