The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead the full employee lifecycle and ensure best-practice HR across three states.
Key responsibilities include managing the recruitment and onboarding process, providing HR advice and coaching to leaders and staff, partnering with our Safety team to support wellbeing initiatives and a strong safety culture, overseeing EAP and assisting with payroll functions relating to onboarding/off-boarding and awards/agreements, identifying training needs, tracking completion, and managing our Group scholarship program, administering performance management systems and HRIS, and managing general office functions such as procurement, phone/IT contracts, and onboarding resources.
Required Skills and QualificationsThe ideal candidate will have proven experience leading HR independently in both blue- and white-collar environments, including exposure to industrial instruments. A strong generalist HR skills with the ability to advise, coach, and influence at all levels is also essential. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, as well as tertiary qualifications in HR, business, or a related field (or extensive industry experience). Additionally, the role offers flexible hours and hybrid work arrangements from our Keilor office.
