Structural Designer

We are seeking a skilled Structural Draftsperson to join our team.
Job OverviewThis role involves creating detailed drawings for structural fixed plant designs, using client specifications and industry standards as a guide.
- Design and create precise drawings in accordance with client requirements, incorporating relevant codes, standards and procedures.
- Produce high-quality drawings (hard copy and electronic CAD files) in line with client needs, company standards and applicable regulations.
- Develop designs that take into account constructability, manufacturing feasibility and material availability, while ensuring clear communication of design intent through the drawings.
- Liaise closely with project stakeholders to ensure effective coordination across multiple disciplines.
- Hold a degree in Structural Design or related field and have at least 10 years of experience in this area.
- Have expertise in process plant structural design and materials handling.
- Be well-versed in drafting techniques, skills, codes and standards, including relevant by-laws and standard industry practices.
- Understand current design and detail drafting principles.
- Proficient in TEKLA software.
- Possess full and unrestricted Australian working rights and relevant local experience.
