Job Summary

The City of Ballarat seeks a skilled Waste Collection Driver to join its dynamic team. As a Waste Collection Driver, you will be responsible for operating a current model dual control waste compactor to empty kerbside presented bins.

This is a permanent, full-time position with an annualised salary and statutory superannuation. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to the kerbside collection of Ballarat's residential waste & recyclables.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a current model dual control waste compactor.

Requirements:
  • Qualifications and experience as listed in the position description.
  • Demonstrated ability to champion, model and promote corporate values.
  • Proven ability to provide high quality work within time constraints.
  • Proven skill and background in waste collection vehicles.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a positive member of a team.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills and experience.
  • Sound understanding of Occupational Health and Safety Act.
  • Victorian Heavy Vehicle Victorian Driver’s Licence (HR) is essential.
