Job Overview

We are seeking a Strategic Asset Management Lead to join our team in Sydney, Australia. As a key member of our Operations team, you will be responsible for developing and managing risk-weighted asset system strategies and plans.

About the Role

  • Develop and manage strategic asset management plans for power generation and transmission assets.
  • Communicate and disseminate system strategies across the organization.
  • Coordinate business unit strategies and roll-up to the overarching operations strategy.
  • Liaise with corporate functions to coordinate operations inputs to economic regulatory processes.
  • Track and monitor strategic performance, opportunities and risks across the power asset portfolio.
  • Lead and coordinate selected strategic initiatives across the operating business unit and corporate functions.

Requirements

  • Excellent communicator and self-starter with demonstrated ability to develop relationships and manage stakeholders in a complex enterprise environment.
  • Strong commercial and operational knowledge of power generation and transmission assets.
  • Experience in a broad cross-section of power assets including open-cycle gas turbines, reciprocating gas engine generators, solar farms, wind turbines, grid-scale battery energy storage systems and HVDC technology.
  • Strategic mindset, focused on long-term business value, with ability to interpret and synthesise data and identify and act on trends and opportunities.
  • Experience with asset management and economic regulatory processes and frameworks.
