Meat Department Leader

The Meat Department Supervisor plays a pivotal role in ensuring the success of our meat department, driving customer satisfaction and product quality excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and motivate a team of skilled meat cutters and sales staff to achieve outstanding performance standards
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations
- Monitor inventory levels and effectively manage stock control to minimize waste and optimize sales
- Develop and implement innovative merchandising strategies to drive sales growth and enhance visual appeal
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding promptly to customer queries and resolving issues efficiently
- Assist with training and development of team members, ensuring they possess the necessary skills to excel in their roles
- Participate in store promotions and events, promoting products and driving sales
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a retail or wholesale environment
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions
- Basic math skills and proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Slides, Sheets)
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and achieving targets
- Certification in butchery or meat cutting an advantage
