Job Role:

The Die-Setter/Plastics Technician plays a pivotal role in overseeing the efficient preparation, setup and troubleshooting of Injection Moulding Machines to minimize downtime and waste.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up, operate and troubleshoot injection moulding machines.
  • Ensure timely and accurate die changes and setups with minimal downtime, including colour changes as per the production schedule.
  • Conduct quality tests to ensure manufactured products meet specified standards.
  • Identify and implement corrective action plans to address issues.
  • Respond to faults and breakdowns such as attending to IML issues.
  • Develop and implement preventative measures to maintain equipment efficiency.
  • Maintain production records, logbooks, finished goods reports and other relevant documentation.
  • Assist Operators in efficiently running production equipment.
Continuous Improvement:
  • Maintain an accurate record of non-conformances and downtime.
