We are seeking a talented and experienced Team Lead to join our team. As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for providing leadership and support to both staff and residents on their shift.

  • Oversee the daily functioning of the Therapeutic Community and its residents.
  • Provide orientation, training, and work direction and guidance to resident workers.
  • May oversee the operation of the residence in the absence of the manager or as directed.
  • Ensure Wellness Checks and Security Checks are completed to standard.
  • Conduct case management tasks such as income assistance applications, identification, and housing applications.
  • Assist with the intake and discharge of residents.
  • Provide emotional support and feedback to residents.
  • Administer medication according to established policy.
  • Maintain reports including statistics, logbooks, and daily activities.
  • Maintain liaison with other agencies, professionals, government officials, and the community.
  • Oversee team duties and ensure they are performed appropriately.
  • Communicate an effective handover of tasks to team leads on other shifts.
  • Answer phone calls and direct accordingly.
  • Enforce community rules.
  • Ensure confidentiality and release of information forms are adhered to.
  • Perform callouts for secure staffing coverage for shift cancellations.
  • Responsible for safe dispensation of resident medications when no nurse is present.
  • Train and mentor new support staff members.
  • Delegate tasks to support staff under supervision.
  • Ensure the Wellness Check Form is up-to-date.
  • Aware of critical incident report procedures and follows all health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Supervise Level 11 Support Workers during each shift.
  • Attend team lead meetings when possible.
  • Ensure the 'Appointments' calendar is updated, and necessary information logged in FYIdb.
  • Approve/deny resident outing request forms.
  • Support driver scheduling and assist as needed.
  • Carry out regular resident room searches.
  • Contribute to employee appraisals of support staff.
  • Attend morning meetings, staff meetings, encounters, and group sessions when applicable.
  • Ensure the Support Office and storage areas are kept clean and tidy.
  • Assist the medical team with OAT and UDS.
  • Ensure locker room procedure is followed by support staff.
