Senior Service Coordinator – Therapeutic Recovery

The role of Team Lead at our Therapeutic Recovery Community is a vital position that requires strong leadership and support skills. You will be responsible for providing orientation, training, and work direction to resident workers on your shift. This includes modeling important work habits, setting the tone for each shift, and fostering a supportive and inclusive work/living environment.
The ideal candidate will have a diploma in a related human/social services field and a minimum of two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. They will also possess excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, as well as knowledge of housing agencies and support agencies in the community.
This is a full-time position working three 12-hour shifts per week, with opportunities for professional growth and development. If you are a motivated and compassionate individual who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of others, we encourage you to apply.
- Main Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and support to staff and residents on your shift.
- Orient, train, and direct resident workers on their duties and responsibilities.
- Model important work habits and set the tone for each shift.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive work/living environment.
- Ensure that Wellness Checks and Security Checks are completed to standard.
- Assist with case management, including income assistance applications, identification, and housing applications.
- Provide emotional support and feedback to residents.
- Administer medication to clients in accordance with established policy.
- Maintain reports, statistics, logbooks, and daily activities on residents.
- Liaise with other agencies, professionals, government officials, and the community.
- Oversee the team's duties and ensure they are being done appropriately.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Enforce community rules and ensure confidentiality and release of information forms are adhered to.
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Diploma in a related human/social services field.
- A minimum of two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Knowledge of housing agencies and support agencies in the community.
We offer a competitive salary of $33.54 to $35.29 per hour, plus additional compensation for working overnight, weekends, and holidays. You will also receive comprehensive benefits, including health and dental coverage, after completion of the probationary period. Vacation time is accrued at a rate of 6% or in accordance with your length of service.
