Job Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has opened up for a skilled occupational therapist to provide patient-centered care in a part-time position at a reputable hospital.

This role involves working 45 hours per fortnight, preferably rostered on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

About The Role
  • Assessment and treatment of patients to facilitate independence in activities of daily living and enhance quality of life.
  • Discharge planning including home visits, provision of aids/modifications, and referral to other services in the community as required.
  • Referral of patients to groups or other disciplines within the hospital.
Key Responsibilities

· Effective communication with program coordinators regarding funding issues and referrals to outpatient therapy.

· Liaising with other team members regarding patient care and therapy time tabling.

· Documentation of occupational therapy intervention, assistive device/home modification prescription, and completion of case management plans and discharge summaries.
