Job Description:
- We are seeking a skilled Cytology Scientist to join our Anatomical Pathology team.
The successful candidate will provide advanced expertise in non-gynaecology cytology, delivering a high-quality diagnostic service and ensuring compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards.
The role includes quality assurance activities, day-to-day supervision of the department, technical and scientific staff training, ongoing professional development, innovation and collaboration.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 8 years relevant experience in a Non-Gynae Cytology laboratory, preferably GX laboratory setting.
- A degree in Applied/biological Science (Medical Science) or equivalent. Overseas qualifications must be Australian Institute of Medical Scientists (AIMS) assessed.
- CTASC
- Experience in attending ROSE for radiological procedures, non-gynaecological preparation, screening and report writing.
- Ability to train, supervise, mentor, and educate technical and medical staff.
- Experience in QA and QC and in NATA accreditation preparation.
