This permanent opportunity is based in our Brisbane Corporate office, where you will be responsible for building and maintaining strategy and implementing the growth and development framework to realise the IRE growth objectives.
You will play a pivotal role in leading the Pre-Contracts Team, shaping work winning strategies, and taking accountability for building and leading a high-performing culture throughout the pre-contracts lifecycle.
Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct strategic market mapping to identify trends and customer needs.
- Develop and present market analysis and map out suitable markets and target clients.
- Understand drivers and win themes, identifying UGL's strengths and capabilities for use as differentiators throughout tender submissions.
- Manage and mentor the pre-contracts team.
- Ensure compliance with all UGL policies, procedures, and guidelines in a way that meets company requirements and addresses commercial obligations, risk management, and protection of intellectual property.
You will draw on your diverse skills and previous experience to create an environment where great ideas are heard and everyone looks out for one another. Ideally, you will have:
- A deep understanding of commercial, contractual, financial, and legal issues.
- Tendering and bid management knowledge and understanding.
- Demonstrated understanding of corporate governance and approvals processes.
- Ability to drive bid strategy, incorporating partnering, client engagement, and delivery/commercial solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines, and follow-through within a fast-paced environment with multiple and competing demands.
- Excellent communication skills (oral & written), including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.
