Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead stakeholder engagement and communications activities for a major reform project.

This role will involve developing and implementing innovative strategies to connect with key stakeholders, including government departments, unions, employer groups, and mental health experts.

The successful candidate will work closely with the project team to share intelligence, coordinate communication and engagement activities, and lead stakeholder engagement working groups.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to utilize your expertise in stakeholder engagement and communications to drive project success. You will be responsible for:

  • Developing and maintaining effective relationships with relevant stakeholders, including government departments, unions, and employer groups.
  • Coordinating meetings and forums that progress the objectives of the project, including chairing stakeholder engagement working groups.
  • Leading the development and maintenance of communication and stakeholder engagement strategies and plans.
  • Providing advice on communication initiatives, reputational risks, and issues management.
  • Developing and delivering high-quality communication and engagement materials to support the project within required timeframes.
  • Identifying and responding to stakeholder queries and issues, ensuring the project's reputation is maintained and enhanced.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in stakeholder engagement and communications.
  • Tertiary-level qualification in a relevant field, such as communications or public relations.
  • Experience working in government (desirable).
  • Completion of the IAP2 Certificate in Engagement (desirable).
