Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Aged Care Support Worker to join our team in South Canberra. As a permanent part-time employee, you'll enjoy guaranteed hours close to home, with opportunities for accelerated career progression and professional development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing domestic assistance, including cleaning and maintaining a safe and beautiful living environment for our customers.
  • Assisting with meal preparation and shopping, ensuring our customers' nutritional needs are met.
  • Offering social support and transport to lifestyle activities, promoting engagement and connection within the community.
  • Delivering personal care services, including bathing, dressing, and medication management, to help our customers maintain their independence.
  • Providing respite and emotional support, understanding the importance of mental health and wellbeing.
  • Supporting customers with complex care needs, such as dementia, through tailored interventions and strategies.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 6 months experience in a similar role, including experience with personal care.
  • A valid Australian driver's licence (P1 class or above) and a registered vehicle, as travel is an essential aspect of this position.
  • The ability to work independently, finding solutions to everyday problems and knowing when to seek support from your manager.
  • Availability to work at least 3 days per week, Monday to Friday, without night or weekend shifts.
