Underground Mining Expert

The position involves co-managing daily operations of the Underground Consulting Team, maintaining strong relationships with clients and consultants. You will leverage your technical experience to hone people management skills while contributing to business growth in a high-performing culture.

You will work closely with the COO and other managers to deliver value to clients and employees. Key responsibilities include:

  • Co-Leading, mentoring, and project managing a diverse team of underground mining engineers at various levels in their careers.
  • Ensuring employees are aligned with company values and expected behaviors.
  • Designing, developing, and implementing business development activities and strategies to maximize growth.
  • Recruiting, developing, and upskilling the next generation of engineers.
  • Administering projects, consultant site access, employee timesheets, payroll, and client invoicing accurately and timely.

Required qualifications and skills include:

  • Bachelor's degree in mining engineering with 8+ years operational experience.
  • Strong team leadership and people management skills.
  • Well-networked with a demonstrated track record of positive relationships within the mining industry in WA.
  • Great communication skills with well-developed interpersonal skills.
