Public Relations Officer - A Critical Role in the Australian Defence Force

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Public Relations officer to join our team in Brisbane. As a key member of our communication strategy, you will play a vital role in managing the service's publicity and reputation management efforts.

The successful candidate will be responsible for liaising with unit commanders, drafting media releases, and handling content for public consumption. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Liaise with unit commanders to handle specific issues
  • Draft media releases and articles for official Army publications
  • Handle content for general public consumption, including pictures of service personnel in action

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a degree in PR, Corporate Communications, or Journalism, and at least three years' experience in a similar field. Marketing graduates with relevant experience may also be considered. You must be willing to undergo standard ADF entry protocols, including government background checks.
