We are seeking a highly skilled Public Relations (PR) professional to work closely with the Australian Army. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing communications strategies to enhance the positive image of the Army within the community.
">- Key Responsibilities:
- Draft and disseminate press releases to media outlets.
- Develop and maintain relationships with media personnel, particularly those covering defence stories.
- Assemble multimedia content featuring Army personnel and activities for promotional materials.
- Organize media training sessions for service personnel.
- Provide counsel to senior Army command staff on sensitive matters involving uniformed personnel.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate must be an Australian citizen between 17 and 56 years old, with a proven track record in PR, journalism, marketing, or corporate communications. They should also possess the physical and mental fitness required for basic military training and be willing to relocate to ADF bases in Brisbane, Canberra, Darwin, Sydney, or Townsville.
