Job DescriptionThis exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Operational Risk Specialist to join our senior leadership team. As a key member of our risk management function, you will play a critical role in driving priority areas and working collaboratively with business stakeholders across the Member domain.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing leadership and guidance to the Risk team on operational risk management strategies and initiatives.
- Supporting the delivery and management of the control testing plan for the domain, including performing controls testing.
- Contributing to risk enablement activities, such as capacity planning and change in risk assessments.
- Developing and maintaining high-quality relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including Governance & Accountability teams and the broader business.
- Providing clear and comprehensive communication of key operational risk matters to relevant colleagues.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities simultaneously. You will be required to think critically and strategically, with a strong focus on delivering results and meeting deadlines.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- At least 7 years' experience in operational risk, enterprise risk, internal or external audit, preferably in the superannuation industry.
- A strong working knowledge of risk and compliance frameworks.
- Prior experience with Power BI (preferred but not essential).
- Critical thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to solve complex problems.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintain high-quality relationships with stakeholders.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
