Procurement Expert

A high-performing Procurement Specialist is required to develop and execute sourcing strategies for transportation and logistics services across Australia and NZ.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies for transportation and logistics services, analysing market trends and business needs to drive cost savings and efficiency.
  • Build and manage relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness, leveraging data analytics to monitor supplier performance and optimise costs.
  • Lead contract negotiations to secure favourable terms while adhering to company policies and compliance standards, driving sustainable sourcing practices aligned with environmental and social responsibility objectives.
  • Oversee contracts related to road and sea freight, hazardous materials, industrial gases, and construction project deliveries, mitigating supply chain risks through strategic planning and proactive problem-solving.
  • Partner with internal teams to align sourcing strategies with organisational goals, fostering a collaborative mindset and strong relationships across the organisation.
Requirements:
  • Proven skills in procurement or sourcing, able to work autonomously and bring a focus on continuous improvement, driving results-oriented solutions.
  • Experience developing sourcing strategies and working with suppliers in transportation and logistics is essential, with a strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field would be beneficial, as well as strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of market trends and industry best practices, collaborative mindset with the ability to build strong relationships, and a self-motivated attitude.
