Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled academic leader to join our community as the Head of Department. This fixed-term position offers an exceptional opportunity for a motivated individual to drive teaching and learning strategies, while also contributing to the ongoing development of our school.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping our school's educational vision, with a particular focus on direct explicit instruction and the science of learning. They will be responsible for implementing our pedagogical model across the department, ensuring that all students have access to diverse teaching and learning pathways.

As a key member of our leadership team, the Head of Department will foster an inclusive and excellence-driven environment, applying the latest findings in cognitive science and instructional design to support student success.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in education and current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).
