Job Description

As Senior Legal Counsel, you will provide critical legal and regulatory advice to ensure compliance with Australian gambling laws. Your expertise will be instrumental in guiding our regulatory framework, implementing compliance programs, and collaborating with regulators to mitigate risks and uphold our commitment to safer gambling and operational integrity.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing expert legal and regulatory advice to inform business decisions
  • Developing and implementing compliance strategies to adhere to regulatory requirements
  • Ensuring adherence to the Privacy Act 1988 and Australian Privacy Principles
  • Monitoring and interpreting regulatory changes to maintain a risk-aware approach

Our ideal candidate has deep knowledge of Australian gambling regulations and legislative processes, coupled with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

Required Skills & Qualifications

To excel in this role, you will possess:

  • A Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or equivalent qualification, and admission to practice as a lawyer in Australia
  • 6–10+ years of post-qualification experience in gambling law or related fields
  • Proven ability to manage high-stakes regulatory projects and deadlines

You will have a strong foundation in contract law, commercial agreements, and regulatory frameworks, with excellent negotiation and communication skills.
