Glass Forming Equipment Operator


Job Description:

At our glass factory, we focus on finding innovative solutions and driving progress. We seek individuals who are forward-thinking and action-oriented, those helping us lead in sustainable packaging.


Our new glass factory is our largest investment to date. It will recycle up to 200,000 tonnes of Queensland glass each year to produce 1 billion bottles. With advanced machinery and control systems, we ensure efficient, high-quality production.


Located next to our box and can plants, the site will form a beverage container precinct, supporting customers and creating new job opportunities.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Operate and adjust automated forming equipment to meet production specifications.
  2. Inspect products, report defects, and support quality improvements.
  3. Perform basic equipment maintenance and assist in reducing downtime.
  4. Collaborate with engineers and production teams to improve processes.
  5. Work closely with Hot End, Cold End, and Maintenance teams to ensure smooth production flow.

Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment and confidence working with automated machinery.
  • A strong safety mindset and a proactive safety approach.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Exposure to SCADA/PLC systems and continuous production environments is desirable.
  • A team player who communicates well and works collaboratively.
