Job Overview

The ideal candidate will oversee daily welding activities, ensuring compliance with quality standards and managing a team of welders to meet production schedules.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assign projects to available resources.
  • Monitor weld consumables for optimal performance.
  • Provide training as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Welding Coordination team.
  • Create inspection documents, non-conformance reports, and heat treatment logs.
  • Update welder qualification registers and develop weld procedures.
  • Liaise with client engineers and complete incident reports.
  • Communicate with third-party NDT technicians and coordinate with sub-contractors.
  • Conduct internal inspections and investigate incidents.
Requirements:
  • Minimum two years of hands-on experience in welding processes and fabrication.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team coordination skills.
  • Proven experience in project allocation and resource management.
  • ISO 3834 Audit experience is an asset.
Tickets, Licenses, and Qualifications:
  • Must-Have: Trade Certificate - Fabrication Heavy (Boilermaker), unlimited working rights in Australia, AS 1796 Certificate 10.
  • Desirable Qualifications: International Welding Specialist (IIW/IWS) and International Welding Inspector (IIW/IWI-B).
