Executive Chef

We are seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead our catering operations at CraigCare Group's Moonee Ponds Home. This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Home's catering operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality food services to our residents, in line with the Food Safety Program and new aged care quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, nutritious meals that meet the dietary needs of our residents
• Cater for special diets and dietary requirements, including allergies and intolerances
• Provide leadership and guidance to catering staff, including rostering and continuous improvement activities
• Monitor food costs and administrative tasks, such as ordering and stock control
• Conduct continuous improvement activities to enhance food offerings to residents

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Head Chef role
• Ability to manage food and labour costs
• Ability to manage and meet food safety standards and OHS requirements
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Competent knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Experience in a Residential Aged Care environment, including Aged Care Accreditation Standards
• Appropriate Hospitality Qualifications or Trade Certificate
