We are seeking an experienced and skilled Head Chef to join our team at CraigCare Group's Moonee Ponds Home. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading and guiding our catering operations to deliver high-quality food services to our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Menu Planning and Execution: Develop and implement menus that cater to the diverse needs and preferences of our residents, ensuring that all meals are nutritious, well-presented, and meet the highest standards of quality.
- Staff Management: Provide leadership and guidance to our catering staff, ensuring that they are equipped to deliver exceptional service and maintain the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.
- Food Cost Management: Monitor and control food costs, ensuring that we maintain a high level of efficiency and effectiveness in our catering operations.
- Food Safety and Quality: Ensure that all food preparation and handling procedures meet the highest standards of food safety and quality, and that our kitchen is maintained in a clean and hygienic environment.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improvement in our catering operations and implement changes that enhance the quality and efficiency of our services.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Head Chef or similar role, preferably in a residential aged care environment.
- Qualifications: Appropriate hospitality qualifications or trade certificate, and a food safety supervisor certificate (preferred but not essential).
- Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to manage food and labour costs, and a commitment to delivering high-quality food services.
