Job Overview

The role of Operations Manager is a critical position within the organization, responsible for maintaining and improving the efficiency and profitability of the business unit.

This key leadership position requires strong technical and business skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in project management, with experience in systems-oriented projects and a strong understanding of project management fundamentals.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide local leadership in the Hawthorn office and deliver assigned major contract outcomes.
  • Supervise project managers to deliver individual project outcomes in a coordinated programmatic manner.
  • Prioritize conflicting project priorities while ensuring timely delivery and effective communication.

Requirements

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Tertiary Qualifications: A degree in an Engineering or Business discipline.
  • Experience: At least 10 years' experience in systems-oriented projects, with at least 5 years in management or supervisory roles.
  • Skills: Practical experience and theoretical understanding of project management fundamentals, negotiation and interrelationship skills, and high-level communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Additional Requirements: Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an NV1 clearance.
