About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer to join our team at Consolidated Power Projects, a leading provider of high-voltage infrastructure solutions in Australia.

As a key member of our in-house team, you will be responsible for designing and developing secondary high-voltage systems for our extra high-voltage substations and overhead lines.

With a strong background in electrical engineering and a proven track record in substation design and utility grid connections, you will play a pivotal role in delivering our flagship projects and contributing to the advancement of secondary engineering excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop secondary high-voltage systems for extra high-voltage substations and overhead lines
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create top-tier designs for secondary high-voltage systems
  • Lead the creation of circuit designs, protection schemes, and protection relays for our high-voltage infrastructure projects
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers to develop their skills and expertise
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or equivalent
  • 10+ years of experience at a senior level with substation design and/or utility grid connections
  • Leadership qualities and the ability to mentor others
  • Strong knowledge of Australian industry standards
  • High-level communication and stakeholder management skills
