Control Systems Engineer

We are seeking a skilled control systems engineer to design and specify general instrumentation, valves, and DCS/PLC-based control systems.

This role will provide CS&I engineering and design support to our projects seamlessly and with high quality.

  • Design material handling and process plant instrumentation for small to large-scale projects.
  • Evaluate, package, and prepare scopes of services for plant control systems, telecommunications, and instrumentation packages.
  • Create study reports, scopes of work, equipment specifications, functional specifications, and datasheets.
  • Develop proposal materials and cost estimates.
  • Select and specify instrumentation in accordance with equipment datasheets.
  • Modify panel layouts, schematic wiring, and termination diagrams for industrial control systems.
  • Plan changeovers for brownfield control system upgrades.
  • Design PLC and remote IO control systems.
  • Design plant control rooms and locate DCS and other control cabinets within the plant.
  • Participate in design and hazard reviews.
  • Review supplier documentation to ensure project specifications are satisfied.
Requirements:
  • A bachelor's degree or international equivalent and 10-13 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with functional safety systems and TUV certification is highly regarded.
