We are seeking an experienced and skilled individual to join our vibrant Brisbane office, where you will be part of a specialized team completing tax returns for Grant Thornton's Partners and for investment entities.

About This Role

In this distinctive and demanding position, you will work closely with the firm's Partners in meeting their accounting and tax compliance requirements, including timely preparation of financial statements and income tax returns. Your expertise in tax planning and advisory matters will enable you to build strong relationships with Partners and other stakeholders while maintaining discretion and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide tax compliance and advisory support to the firm's Partners, ensuring timely preparation of financial statements and income tax returns
  • Assist with accounting, tax advisory, and tax planning matters, staying updated on changes in tax legislation that may affect the firm's Partners
  • Build strong relationships with Partners and other stakeholders, observing discretion and confidentiality
Salary and Benefits

We offer an attractive salary range of AU$85,000 - AU$120,000 per annum, reflecting your experience and skills. You will also enjoy a range of benefits, including flexible working options, up to 26 weeks' paid parental leave, fully funded gym membership, and discounts on health insurance.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Qualification(s) and/or professional accreditation(s) in a relevant discipline such as Business/Commerce, Accounting or Finance, or other relevant professional or overseas qualification(s)
  • Significant professional experience in business and tax advisory within a chartered accounting setting
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills, with a desire to 'go above and beyond' to delight clients
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage competing priorities within a deadline-driven environment
