About the Role

Amazon Commercial Services Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our Reliability Maintenance Engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance on a range of equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • React quickly to breakdowns, communicate effectively with affected teams, and work efficiently to resolve issues.
  • Support continuous improvement by learning from breakdowns and providing feedback and suggestions for improvements.
  • Provide high levels of equipment availability to our internal customers.
  • Work collaboratively with senior colleagues to undertake day-to-day maintenance tasks and general building maintenance.
About the Team

Our Reliability Maintenance Engineering team is a technically-minded group of excellent team players, guided by experienced leaders. We work together to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment across our global network of fulfillment centers.

Requirements
  • Certificate III in Electrotechnology with current electrical trade license and Mechanical knowledge or Certificate III in Engineering/Mechanical Trade (Fitter/Turner)
  • Experience of planned preventative maintenance systems
  • Experience fault finding within Material Handling Equipment/Automation systems
  • Ability to read and understand electrical/mechanical drawings
  • Experience of conveyor maintenance, motor controllers/inverters
  • Experience of working to appropriate health and safety standards and regulations
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience of computer maintenance systems (CMMS)
  • Experience of sortation machines
  • Experience in an industrial environment
  • Experience of maintaining/configuring bar code scanners
  • Experience of print and apply machines
