About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Amazon Commercial Services Pty Ltd. As a key member of our Reliability Maintenance Engineering team, you will be responsible for leading a team of maintenance technicians to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians to achieve their goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Act as an ambassador for safety within the team and promote safe working practices across the site.
  • Manage maintenance-related purchase orders and inventory to ensure adequate stock levels for maintenance activities.
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot all facility systems, including power distribution, automated material handling equipment, and other operational equipment.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships across all levels of the organization, including regular attendance at site leadership meetings and steering committees.
A Day in the Life

In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team to ensure that all equipment is running properly and that maintenance activities are carried out efficiently. You will monitor processes to ensure compliance with regulations and policies, and suggest improvements to make our systems more efficient and productive.

About the Team

Our Reliability Maintenance Engineering team is a technically minded group of excellent team players, guided by experienced leaders. We work together to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment across our global network of fulfillment centers. Some of our people are leaders, who oversee the team as they work on exciting technology – some of which only exists at Amazon.

Requirements
  • Formal trade qualification in Fitter/Turner (Cert III in Engineering Mechanical Trade) or current electrical trade license (Cert III in Electrotechnology).
  • Experience in a maintenance-focused role, skilled in electrical or mechanical disciplines.
  • Experience in mentoring and developing junior technicians.
  • Experience in automation or complex MHE environments.
  • Experience using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) to plan proactive maintenance and record reactive tasks.
  • Understanding of overall equipment effectiveness and equipment performance metrics.
  • Knowledge of Statutory Compliance requirements.
  • Experience of contractor management.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated ability to manage, coach, and influence others on the team.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize many different projects and workload.
  • Management experience/aptitude, ability to mentor and develop training plans for other service technicians.
