Job Title: Head Pastry Chef

Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Pastry Chef to lead our bakery team. As a key member of our production staff, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality pastry products that meet the changing needs of our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Baking and presenting quality pastry products in line with company standards
  • Manage stock control, production expenses, and stock ordering to minimize waste and ensure optimal inventory levels
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of the bakery before and after production, adhering to food safety regulations
  • Coordinate production scheduling to ensure smooth production runs, minimizing downtime and maximizing output
  • Inspect the quality of ingredients delivered and weigh according to recipes to maintain consistency and quality
  • Plan production to ensure adequate quantities of end-of-day stock, reducing waste and excess inventory
  • Counsel and support apprentices and pastry chefs to improve their skills and knowledge
  • Clean as per daily roster, maintaining a clean and organized work environment

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of relevant work experience in a senior pastry chef role
  • Australian work authorization, ensuring compliance with local employment laws

Work Environment:

This role requires working in person at our Sydney location, where you will be part of a dynamic and fast-paced production team.
