Working in our watermelon-scented Production Kitchen, you will contribute to crafting our most iconic cake, whilst further developing your skills as a Pastry Chef among our valued team.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to crafting our iconic cake in a high-volume production kitchen.
  • Maintain a high standard of quality control with attention to detail while ensuring operational efficiency.
  • Support the team in maintaining brand integrity and delivering a consistent product.
  • Foster healthy teamwork and constructive working relationships.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally, escalating concerns as appropriate.
  • Be flexible and adaptable to meet changing demands of the business.

Qualifications
  • Proven experience in a Pastry Chef role, ideally at least 2 years.
  • Experience in a production kitchen or high-volume patisserie.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control without compromising operational efficiency.
  • Understanding of the impact of the Pastry Chef role on the success of the store and Black Star Pastry brand.
  • Knowledge of current restaurant and hospitality industry trends.
  • Ability to work well within a team and build constructive working relationships.
  • Clear, professional, authentic, and concise communication, with the ability to escalate concerns as appropriate.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing demands of our agile business.
