Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned public law specialist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in government advisory work, with expertise in probity and governance principles.

About the Role

This is an exceptional opportunity for a lawyer with 2-5+ years of experience working with government clients. You will be part of a high-performing team providing commercial advice, contract drafting, procurement, grants, and probity advice to Commonwealth Government agencies.

You will work closely with senior-level clients, collaborating with other lawyers and stakeholders to deliver complex projects. Your ability to provide pragmatic solutions and draft contracts will be highly valued.

  • Provide expert advice on probity, integrity in the public sector, and governance principles.
  • Work collaboratively with government clients to achieve their objectives.
  • Draft contracts, policies, and procedures that meet regulatory requirements.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor of Laws degree or equivalent qualification.
  • 2-5+ years of experience as a lawyer working with government clients.
  • Contracting, procurement, and/or grant experience.
  • Strong understanding of probity, integrity in the public sector, and governance principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
