Job Overview

The Head of Student Learning and Support is a senior leadership position that oversees the student learning and support department. This role requires a strategic thinker who can lead a team to provide holistic support and extension programs for students in a Christian environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise the student learning and support team, providing clear direction and ensuring staff development.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to foster collaboration and create a positive team environment.
  • Coordinate resources and staff to deliver effective support and extension programs, ensuring timely service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations while overseeing adjustments and provisions for students' needs.
  • Manage financial projections and contribute to reports.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures that enhance the department's operations.

Selection Criteria:

  • A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a commitment to child safety.
  • Current Working with Children Check and NESA teacher registration.
  • Post-graduate qualifications in special education and substantial experience in leading a team in specialised support services.
  • Demonstrated experience in building processes and systems that support funding and compliance requirements.
  • Extensive knowledge of regulations and demonstrated experience in leading and supervising teams.
