About the Opportunity

We are looking for a skilled and experienced freelancer to join our team as a Market Researcher and Interviewer. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for conducting market research, analyzing data, and creating high-quality reports for our clients.

Job Description:

As a freelance Market Researcher and Interviewer, you will be working on a variety of projects, including secondary research on industry and company sources, primary research through trade interviews and cold calling, and collecting and manipulating large sets of data within Excel. You will also be required to conduct in-depth B2B market research, including industry analysis, competitor benchmarking, customer segmentation, and market trend analysis.

Responsibilities:

Digest and understand information from various formats covering a range of industries and countriesVisit retail stores to gather product information (e.g. pricing, availability)Conduct secondary research on industry/company sourcesPerform primary research through trade interviewing and cold callingAnalyze quantitative and qualitative data/information and build analysis and recommendations based on the information availableSupport project managers to create high-quality/client-ready research outcomes

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in business, marketing, economics, statistics, or related field
  • Strong communication skills - conducting interviews with industry players is a key part of the role
  • Proven experience in B2B market research, with a strong understanding of the B2B buying process and decision-making frameworks
  • Fluency in English and native in the local language, for both speaking and writing
  • Tenacity in the pursuit of information, especially through trade interviews, and keen attention to detail when comparing information across multiple sources
  • Excellent time-management, organization, and self-motivation skills
  • High level of numeracy - Ability to work with, analyze, and interpret data
  • Proven proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
