Freelance Researcher and Analyst

A leading international market research firm is seeking a skilled freelancer to conduct market research projects, gathering information from retail stores and conducting trade interviews.

  • Digested complex information in various formats across multiple industries and countries.
  • Conducted visits to retail stores to collect product information, including pricing and availability.
  • Performed secondary research on industry sources for personal use and dissemination.
  • Engaged in primary research, including trade interviewing and cold calling, to gather additional information.

This position involves working independently as well as collaboratively with project managers in regional offices. Freelancers will be responsible for all aspects of the research process, including data collection and analysis.

Responsibilities:
  1. Collect and manipulate large datasets within Excel to build market sizes and analyze brands' market shares.
  2. Analyze quantitative and qualitative data/information to build analysis and recommendations.
  3. Support project managers in creating high-quality research outcomes, including presentations and written analysis.
  4. Review/consolidate the work of other remote analysts in any steps of our research methodology.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, statistics, or related field.
  • Strong communication skills, with experience in conducting interviews with industry players.
  • Proven experience in B2B market research, with a strong understanding of the B2B buying process and decision-making frameworks.
  • Fluency in English and native language for speaking and writing.
  • Excellent time-management, organization, and self-motivation skills.
  • High level of numeracy and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
