Senior Underground Geologist Tasmania

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Underground Geologist to join our team in Tasmania. As a key member of our Resource Development and Planning Department, you will be responsible for supervising and assisting in mine geology functions, including grade control, production reporting and reconciliation, resource evaluation and orebody grade control drilling programs.

- Ensure production geological activities are being executed in line with daily, weekly and monthly mining plans.
- Develop and maintain standards for geological data management and ensuring all required geological and geotechnical information is captured.
- Develop and maintain geology data requirements to complete stope related reviews and reconciliation activities when required.
- Ensure all production geology information is completed for daily, weekly and monthly reporting.
- Complete the monthly mine to mill reconciliation process.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of existing systems and processes and identify opportunity for improvement.
- Champion an active safety culture within the Production Geology team and ensure team compliance to organisational policies and procedures.
- Ensure all directions of the Manager Resource Development and Planning are met.
To be successful in this role, you will have a tertiary qualification in Geology and 6+ years' experience in a similar role with a strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, production and drill databases (Acquire) and 3 D mine design software (Surpac, Leapfrog, Deswik). You will need to have a c-class licence and be comfortable and able to work both un-supervised and as part of a team whilst demonstrating strong communication and organisational skills enabling you to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
