Job Opportunity

As a Manager of Business Controls, you will play a pivotal role in implementing effective frameworks and processes to manage risk.

You will collaborate with the Risk Management Team to identify and mitigate risks, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and maintain alignment with risk appetite.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support the design, implementation, and maintenance of business controls to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on the Risk Management Framework, control effectiveness, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Monitor and assess risks, incidents, and compliance breaches, and support root cause analysis and remediation activities.
  • Coordinate and support compliance and obligations management, including policies, standards, and reporting requirements.
  • Build risk awareness across the organization by partnering with stakeholders and embedding risk management into day-to-day decision making.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline, automate, and uplift business processes.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 7 years' experience in financial services with a focus on risk, compliance, or business controls.
  • Strong understanding of operational risk and compliance frameworks within financial services.
  • Experience in identifying, assessing, and managing operational and compliance risks.
  • Practical knowledge of regulatory obligations relevant to banking and financial services.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and provide clear, practical guidance.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes.
