Job Title: Asset Management Specialist

Are you a skilled professional looking for a challenging role in asset management? We have an exciting opportunity for an Asset Management Specialist to join our team at Gough Recruitment AU.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Asset Management Specialist to oversee the delivery of capital and maintenance programs at an operational level. The successful candidate will provide essential support to Senior Leaders in the development, procurement, and execution of capital and maintenance projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a strategic asset management plan, including CAPEX and OPEX budgets, maintenance programs, and procurement processes.
  • Manage the daily operations and upkeep of owned and leased premises, facility systems, equipment, and ancillary assets.
  • Lead project management activities, including handling major and minor capital expenditure works, informing stakeholders of project progress, and conducting building inspections.
  • Develop policies and procedures, approve quotes and work orders, negotiate contracts for property services, and respond to emergencies.
  • Provide guidance on legislation, ensure work venues and vehicles are safe, and participate in policy development.
  • Mentor and support direct reports, manage performance reviews, and oversee HR responsibilities.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years in a similar Asset Management role.
  • Significant experience in contractor management in a commercial building environment.
  • Experience in sourcing and negotiating contracts.
  • Project management and planning skills.
  • Strong technical background in mechanical or engineering services, especially HVAC systems.
  • Experience in managing team members and providing high-level support.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of key legislation and standards (Workplace Health and Safety, building requirements).
  • Ability to review and analyze business data for effective reporting and decision-making.
  • Highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal, including preparing high-level reports for executives.
