Job Description
The Manager, Standards and Training role is a vital position within the organization. The incumbent will be responsible for establishing and maintaining operational standards, ensuring that staff are trained and supported to perform their roles effectively and safely.
The role involves defining the framework for operational training and competency assessment, documenting ways of working, and overseeing the implementation of these standards across the business.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success in a similar role, with relevant tertiary qualifications in HR, Training, or a related field. Strong report writing and presentation skills, as well as project management experience, are essential for this position.
The successful applicant will also possess excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders and drive business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
  • Define and maintain operational standards
  • Develop and implement training programs
  • Maintain records management systems
  • Coordinate national training and facilitation calendar
  • Design new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Orders (WOs)
  • Set standards of operational training
  • Determine training delivery methods
  • Collaborate with internal teams on compliance goals
  • Support and mentor junior staff
  • Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness
