We provide dedicated mental health care to young people aged 12-25 in Melbourne's north and west, along with their families, carers, supporters and kin. Our service is built exclusively around young people's needs, centering every decision on what they require.
Building on our legacy of supporting the wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people, we maintain clinical excellence while delivering high-quality care.
The RoleAs an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Mental Health Worker, you will support the social and emotional wellbeing of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander young people in custody.
- This is a unique opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team to enhance culturally responsive care.
- You will provide cultural support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people and their families accessing our service.
The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Mental Health Worker promotes and enhances the social and emotional wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people who are currently on remand or sentenced within a Youth Justice custodial precinct.
Cultural Considerations And Training- We acknowledge the importance of cultural and wellbeing supports and supervision for the role, led by consultation with community and the successful applicant.
- We will support and fund you to complete an accredited course in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Social and Emotional Wellbeing.
