Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled Principal Advisor to support the growth and development of our Community Information Services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance team capabilities, increase knowledge and skills of individuals through effective supervision and delegation of tasks.
  • Prepare high-level correspondence, reports, and submissions for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear and concise communication.
  • Review, implement, and develop departmental practices and policies to drive business improvements and execute system controls across the work unit.
  • Manage key aspects of project implementation, including change management obligations, to ensure successful delivery.
  • Represent the organization at inter-agency forums/committees and contribute to relevant departmental and whole-of-government groups to progress activities and initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence others.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare high-level reports and submissions.
  • Proven experience in policy development, implementation, and review, with a focus on business improvement and system control.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, with strong organizational and time management skills.
