Job Description:

The role of a Physiotherapist involves providing support and treatments to Defence Force Personnel. This includes conducting evidence-based assessments, treatments, and rehabilitative services.

The successful candidate will be responsible for offering direction on rehabilitation programs, splinting/plastering/fitting of orthoses or other devices, and use of electrotherapy modalities or hydrotherapy pools where required.

Collaboration with other health professionals is also an essential aspect of this role, requiring the ability to provide advice and recommendations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Physiotherapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Minimum 2 years full-time post graduate musculoskeletal experience within the last 5 years in an accredited physiotherapy environment.
  • Recent participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with AHPRA.
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification.
  • Membership of the Australian Physiotherapy Association (desirable).
