Job Overview

This senior leadership position plays a pivotal role in Catholic Schools NSW, representing the state's Catholic schools to key stakeholders. As a trusted advisor, you will provide expert guidance on educational policy and regulatory compliance.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and advise on best practices in teaching, learning, and Catholic mission based on national and international research findings.
  • Collaborate with NESA, ACARA, and Catholic agencies to drive curriculum, assessment, and pedagogy initiatives.
  • Respond to regulatory changes affecting curriculum and assessment from K-12 through informed analysis and strategic development.
  • Foster system delivery by participating in committee work and developing professional learning resources.
  • Maintain relationships with government departments, Catholic authorities, and other education sector stakeholders.
Qualifications and Key Skills
  • Demonstrated leadership experience or current role in schools or system offices.
  • In-depth knowledge of NSW syllabuses and curriculum policies.
  • Expertise in designing curricula and assessments.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage projects and policies while maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information.
